What Fun! First it was cupcakes now it’s Cake Pops. This book has some adorable ideas and themes in it. There are plenty of ideas for birthday parties or seasonal events. The instructions are detailed and thorough. These would be a lot of fun to make with kids. This would make a great gift for an older kid or teen who likes to bake. Here is a great video that shows you the basics of how to make them:

A Must for New Moms and Dads: Dunstan Baby Language DVD
I did not have the opportunity to see The Dunstan Baby Language DVD until shortly before my youngest was born. I really wish it had been available for the previous 5 kids! It especially would have helped for the fussier ones. It really is genius! The DVD describes to you how to tell what the sounds of your baby’s cry mean. Are they hungry, sleepy, need to be burped, have gas, or uncomfortable? The examples and real cries on the DVD are helpful in learning what to listen for. I really do believe that this eliminated a lot of frustration and crying with my youngest as an infant. I would highly recommend this to new moms and dads as well as seasoned ones. The faster you figure out what your baby is “saying” the happier you and he/she will be.
Mouse Paint Book
Mouse Paint may possibly be my favorite little kids book. My 4th daughter and I have read this together probably over 100 times. She actually memorized it by the time she was 3 and would “read” it to me. It is a really cute story about mice who are trying to avoid a cat and their adventure with colors and what the colors become when they are mixed with other colors. It is educational and entertaining at the same time. You can’t go wrong with this book or the other titles from Ellen Stoll Walsh.
Playskool Busy Ball Popper
The Playskool Busy Ball Popper is a Toy that my daughter received for her first birthday. This ball popper occupied my daughter for much longer than I expected her to sit still. The balls go around the tubes and then pop up into the air. She would laugh every time one popped up and and then would run to get the balls to put back into the machine. My daughter has had this for about a year now and still plays with it often. Music plays while the balls are popping up. The recommended ages for this are 9 months to 3 years. It comes in bright colors (for boys or girls) and also comes in pink.
